Travels

This section shows the places we have visited together. Eventually, I'll get around to adding in photos for each country, but that means spending some time scanning in all the pre-digital shots that are now in shoeboxes somewhere in storage.

The map below gives an overview with a pin for each country and territory visited, except Australia, Canada and USA, there is a pin per state or province. To see details click on any region on the map or see the full list of visited countries here.

Plans

Only a last trip out to Vienna, Bratislava and Prague will add a few new places for Mel before the new baby will probably hold any travels for a little while.

Country Lists

I have used the list from the Travelers' Century Club Official Listing that lists 313 "countries". There are plenty of other lists to choose from, but I chose this one as it seems to be the most complete.

Here are some others:

	UN members - 189 countries. Notable exception is Switzerland
	ISO 3166 Country Names - This standard has character codes listing 239 countries. Flags of the World shows the flag for each code.
	IANA - This is the list of all 243 internet country domain names
	US State Department list 195 countries
	The Amateur Radio League lists an incredible 334 countries
	ISO4217 lists the world currencies. There's another version of it at UNECE.
	Finally, SETI have combined all of the countries, flags, and codes on their site.
	ISO 3166 Country lists - This standard has three variations showing two or three character codes
